Tonight!

The night finally came
The lovely work of James Angello
Ellie Fortune as a full band was so good!

Autumn was getting some shopping done.
This guy walked in carrying a brown paper bag and was looking exactly like Harry Nilsson
I found out his name, but I think I will always refer to him as Schmilsson.

Anyway, the night was such a success! Thanks to everyone that made it out and showed their support. It couldn't have happened without the greatness of my fellow artists Gabriel, Trent, James, and Trisha and Olivia of Bows and Arrows. The show will be up through January 5th. So go to Bows and Arrows if you haven't checked it out yet!

Lederhosen, beer, hand crafted gifts, stines, brauts, and accordions welcome. Come early and go on your Halloween way, or come late and drink up.

Haunted Stacks

Went to the Central library and got to watch Ghost Busters as well as go on a haunted tour of the Sacramento Room. It was really great. In fact, later that night I went on a cemetery tour which cost $15. It wasn't nearly as well done as the free library tour.

the room

Watched the nearly unwatchable Room. Inspired this floor plan art. This is my second try at completing these all on the computer with no final tactile piece. Definitely not liking the outcome as much, but it sure is faster.Blogspot keeps squishing the proportions. I can't figure out why.

Mr. Eggers

Probably my favorite author, Dave Eggers, gave a talk at the Crest on his novel Zeitoun.
I really wish I could have heard him talking about founding McSweeney's or the state of print in general. Oh well. I couldn't bear the thought of being a super fan and trying to speak with him, so I blew out of there.
To the left is a reference to a drawing in his book A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, and to the right is the McSweeney's logo.

birthday boy

Made him pumpkin pancakes, coffee and Jonas brothers hats

I find this statue at the Weatherstone to be quite rude. I hate being shushed.

Birthday candles in his homemade steak frites
